Starbucks…the glass is half empty.

Craving a quad venti non-fat latte with extra foam? You might have to drive an extra two blocks to a different Starbucks location. No Howard, say it ain’t so! 600 Starbucks are closing throughout the U.S. and now they have announced 19 will be closing in your backyard.

Is it just me, or doesn’t it make sense that the easiest thing to do is to lower the price of the coffee and help out you and me, the consumers? They are spending millions of dollars on severance packages for employees and other closing bills. Why not just cut the cost of the coffee. People flock to your store and everyone wins. I’m not a business major, but doesn’t this make sense?

Check out the this list to see if your favorite Starbucks will soon be empty.

We spent our scorching hot Sunday at the 76 station in Tacoma. The fun didn’t stop all afternoon with the free gas wheel, goodies from 76 and KMPS, and KMPS temporary tattoos! Kristina the intern had fun tattooing the listeners…probably because she kept cool with the squirt water bottle! We had listeners of all ages sporting the KMPS logo on their guns, and everyone left with a freebie, whether it be a magnet, frisbee, water bottle, $10, $20, or $100 of free gas!!!

Remember to check kmps.com for upcoming events because you don’t want to miss out on the great time and free prizes!
